Keeping it “Green” with SeaSide Events

Take it Outdoors

Do you want to “green” your next event? Consider having it outdoors. We specialize in planning outdoor parties because we find that it can be an environmentally friendly alternative to a traditional indoor celebration.

Why we like planning outdoor events (especially in Wilmington and the Pleasure Island Beaches)

  • A sunny afternoon cuts down on energy by eliminating the use of artificial lighting and air conditioning
  • The natural beauty of our beaches, gardens and parks provide such a gorgeous back drop that decorations are minimal
  • An outdoor theme lends itself to utilizing organic elements to decorate such as shells, potted plants, seasonal flowers, driftwood
  • Wilmington has many sources for organic and fresh locally grown produce and flowers
  • The use of multipurpose venues cuts down on transportation. A beach side wedding ceremony may be held in front of the hotel where the bridal party and wedding guests are staying. A wedding and reception may be held at the same site such as a local park or a boat on the Cape Fear River. A true southern plantation can provide entertainment as well as a wonderful gathering and party site for the family reunion.
